Privacy Policy
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Rocket Listing collects only the information it needs to work: to sign you in, to save and sync your listing templates, to show your Meesho payment and profit figures, and to generate listing text for you. We use it only for those purposes — to make your selling simpler — and nothing else.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Rocket Listing is a Chrome extension (Manifest V3) that helps online sellers on marketplaces such as Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon save time: it records a product-listing workflow once and replays it to fill forms, helps generate listing text, and shows finance and profitability figures for your seller account.
This policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, where it is stored, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Rocket Listing extension and the Rocket Listing service that it connects to (“the Service”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean the Rocket Listing team.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is listed below. The last column shows whether the information leaves your device.
| Information | What it includes | Sent to our servers? |
|---|---|---|
| Google account details | When you choose “Sign in with Google”: your Google user ID, email address, display name and profile photo URL. We never see your Google password. | Yes — to create and recognise your account. |
| Listing templates & recordings | The workflow you record: the site and page address, page title, the steps you take (clicks, text you type into listing fields, field labels and selectors), and basic technical details — browser name, extension version, user-agent string and window size. | Yes — so your templates are saved to your account and can be reused. |
| Meesho payment & order data | Only when you press the sync button and confirm the consent prompt: payment dates and references, order and ad amounts, deductions and net amounts, plus order numbers, SKUs and order statuses shown on your Meesho supplier payment pages. | Yes — to calculate and display your earnings and profitability. |
| Plan & usage counts | Your plan, and a running count of how many listings you have filled with a template. It is a number only — it does not include what was in the listing. The number of templates saved on your device is compared with your plan’s limit inside the extension and is not sent to us. | Yes — to apply the limits of your plan. |
| Listing-text requests | When you use AI-assisted listing generation: the product name, description, variant labels and SKU text you provide, and the address of the page you started from. | Yes — to generate the text you asked for. |
| Kept only on your device | Smart form templates used for autofill, the report from your last fill or replay (which can include screenshots), cached marketplace category names, a cache of public competitor product data shown in the on-page competitor card, and your settings. | No — stored in your browser only. |
What we do not collect: we do not collect your passwords, payment-card details, bank account numbers or government IDs. The recorder automatically replaces the contents of password fields and of fields that look like card, CVV, PIN or secret fields with “[REDACTED]”. Because other text you type on a recorded page is saved as you typed it, please do not record workflows that involve other people’s personal information. We do not collect your browsing history, and we do not track which sites you visit.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only to provide and improve the features you use:
- to sign you in and keep your account secure;
- to save, sync, list and replay your listing templates;
- to fetch and display your finance, earnings and profit figures;
- to generate the listing text you request;
- to apply plan and usage limits (for example, how many templates you can save, how many listings you can fill with a template, and how often payments can be synced);
- to fix bugs and keep the Service working, and to respond when you contact us.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. We do not use it for any purpose unrelated to Rocket Listing.
4. We do not sell your data
- Never sold
- Never shared for advertising
- Used only for your purpose
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, now or in the future. The information described in this policy is collected solely so that Rocket Listing can do what you installed it to do, and it is used only for that purpose.
6. Storage, security and retention
Where it is stored. Information kept on your device is held in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB and chrome.storage). Information that is synced is stored on our servers in the databases that run the Service. Information sent between the extension and our servers travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to it is limited to the people and systems that need it to run the Service.
Sign-in. After you sign in, the extension keeps a Rocket Listing session token and your basic profile (name, email, photo) in your browser. Your Google access token stays in Chrome’s own identity cache. Signing out removes the session token and profile from the extension and revokes the Google token.
How long we keep it. We keep your account information and the templates and finance data you have synced for as long as your account is active, so that the Service keeps working for you. When you ask us to delete your account or data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep something. Information stored only on your device stays there until you delete it or remove the extension.
7. Your choices and rights
- Review and delete templates from the extension’s side panel at any time.
- Sign out from the side panel. This revokes the Google token and clears your session from the extension.
- Stop sharing finance data by simply not pressing the payments sync button — it only runs when you start it and confirm.
- Access, correct or delete your data. To receive a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your account and all synced data deleted, email us at the address in section 12 from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.
- Remove the extension from
chrome://extensions. This deletes everything stored on your device. It does not by itself delete data already synced to our servers, so email us if you also want that deleted. - Revoke Google access at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.
8. Browser permissions and why we ask for them
The extension requests these Chrome permissions. Each is used only for the purpose shown, and nothing is recorded or acted on until you start it.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| identity | Sign in with your Google account. |
| storage / unlimitedStorage | Save your templates, session, settings and caches in your browser. |
| activeTab / tabs | Find the tab you are working in, open or update marketplace tabs, and capture a screenshot of the visible tab for your replay report. |
| scripting | Run the recorder, autofill and replay on the page you are using, and read the payment table on your Meesho payments page when you ask it to sync. |
| webNavigation | Detect page loads so a workflow keeps working across multi-page flows. |
| downloads | Let you export a template to a file on your device. |
| sidePanel | Show the Rocket Listing panel next to the page you are working on. |
| alarms | Run a short timer that keeps a running replay from stalling. |
| Access to all sites | Allow the recorder and autofill to work on the marketplace and seller pages you choose. We do not use this access to collect or transmit the pages you browse. |
9. Google user data (Limited Use)
Rocket Listing’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the openid, email and profile scopes, and we use that information only to sign you in and identify your account. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it except as needed for security, to comply with the law, or with your consent.
10. Children’s privacy
Rocket Listing is a business tool for sellers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date before the change takes effect, and for material changes we will also tell you in the extension or by email. Continuing to use Rocket Listing after a change means you accept the updated policy.
