What counts

What goes into your real Meesho profit

A good-looking selling price can hide costs that quietly eat your margin. These are the ones to include.

Product and packaging cost

What you pay to get one unit ready to ship: purchase or manufacturing cost plus packaging. This calculator has no separate box for fixed per-order charges. Add packaging and outbound shipping to Product cost so they are counted in every result.

Marketplace charges

Meesho has promoted a zero-commission model for sellers, but other charges such as shipping can still apply. Check the charges shown in your own supplier panel, and enter any percentage-based fee in the commission box.

GST

Enter the GST rate that applies to your product. The calculator separates it from your selling price so you can see what you actually keep.

Customer returns

A returned order usually costs you return shipping and sometimes a damaged unit you cannot resell. Your return rate shows how much that takes from every order.

RTO (return to origin)

Orders that come back undelivered, for example when a customer refuses a cash-on-delivery parcel, cost you shipping with no sale. Switch to the Advanced tab to include your RTO rate.

Ads and promotions

If you run ads, add them as a percentage of your selling price in the Advanced tab so your margin reflects the true cost of each sale.

Worked example

How the numbers add up

Illustrative numbers for a ₹299 product with a 15% return rate and 5% RTO. They are not Meesho rates.

  • Set your price after counting returns and RTO, not before. A 15% return rate can turn a thin margin into a loss.
  • Click the return-rate buttons (5% to 30%) to see how quickly profit drops as returns rise.
  • Treat the break-even price as your floor. Discount below it only when you are clearing stock on purpose.
  • Recalculate whenever your supplier price, shipping or ad spend changes.

FAQ

Meesho profit calculator FAQ

How do I calculate profit on Meesho?

Start with your selling price and subtract your product cost (including packaging and shipping), any marketplace charges, GST, the cost of returns and RTO, and ad spend. What remains is your profit per order. This calculator does the sum for you from the numbers you enter.

Does Meesho charge commission?

Meesho has promoted a zero-commission model for sellers, but charges can change and other costs such as shipping may apply. Check the current charges in your Meesho supplier panel and enter them in the calculator.

What is RTO on Meesho?

RTO means return to origin: an order that goes back to the seller without being delivered, for example because the customer refused it or could not be reached. You usually still pay for the outbound shipping, so a high RTO rate lowers your profit.

What is a good profit margin for a Meesho seller?

It depends on your product and volume, but a margin that stays positive even when your return rate rises is a safer target. Use the calculator to see how your margin changes at 10%, 20% and 30% returns before you decide on a price.

Is this Meesho profit calculator free?

Yes. It is free and needs no signup. Results are estimates based on the numbers you enter.

Is Rocket Listing affiliated with Meesho?

No. Rocket Listing is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meesho. Always confirm actual charges in your supplier panel.
