How to prepare for Meesho Diwali sales: a checklist for price, stock, dispatch and returns

A checklist for the weeks around Diwali, built on Meesho's own tools: Check Discounts, Flexi Growth Offers, stock views and daily labels. No sale dates guessed.

Key takeaways

  • Set your price floor first. A discount only helps while the sale price stays above your break-even price, so work that out before any offer.
  • Each job has a Meesho tool: Check Discounts and Flexi Growth Offers (price), Inventory (stock), daily label downloads (dispatch), Quality Dashboard (returns).
  • This page prints no sale dates, because the sources we read disagree. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026; check Notices and Promotions in your panel for Meesho's own dates.

How to prepare for Meesho Diwali sales: work out your break-even price first, then use Meesho's own tools in order. Check Discounts and Flexi Growth Offers cover price, Inventory covers stock, daily label downloads cover dispatch, and Quality Dashboard shows why orders come back. Nobody can promise sale orders, and this page prints no sale dates.

Meesho's official channel told sellers on 8 October 2026 to download labels daily for the Mega Blockbuster Sale, and Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, so start now. We make Meesho seller tools, but none of them works on Orders, Returns, Payments or Promotions, so every step here happens in Meesho's own panel.

How do you set prices in a Meesho sale?

Set the price from your floor (for everyday pricing, see how to set price on Meesho). Your floor is the break-even price: the price at which profit per order is zero after product cost, the GST inside the price and the average cost of returns and RTO (an undelivered parcel that comes back). Everything above it is room to discount. Two Meesho tools deal with sale prices.

  • Review Page, with Check Discounts. Meesho's video of 7 July 2025 describes a page to check each discount's effect before a sale. Check Discounts shows a final payout breakdown; you can edit a discount or opt out for free within a limited window (the description says 2 days), and reminders come by WhatsApp and email (as read on 15 October 2026). The description names no menu, so follow the reminders or look under Promotions.
  • Flexi Growth Offers. As read on 15 October 2026, Meesho's 2025 introduction video says you pick the product, a discount from 1 to 99% and a duration, and that an offer can go live as early as the next day. Its benefits video names stock clearance and festive sales as uses.

Put the final payout from Check Discounts next to what one unit costs you, plus your average cost of returns. If the payout is lower, edit the discount or opt out. Read the breakdown to see which deductions it already includes.

To see how deep an offer can go, say a cushion cover set costs ₹280 to buy, pack and ship and sells for ₹399, with GST at an illustrative 5% inside the price. Assume 10% of orders come back at ₹70 return shipping, 5% of returned items are unsellable and 5% of orders are RTO. All numbers are made up. The Meesho profit calculator gives the same results; return shipping, damaged returns and RTO are on its Advanced tab.

15% off33930.9622.56
20% off31911.913.51
25% off299−7.14−15.54

In this example, break-even is about ₹306 at 10% returns and about ₹315 at 20%, so a discount deeper than about 23% or 21% respectively loses money. Each ₹1 cut costs about 95 paise of profit in the example, because the GST inside the price is the only cost that shrinks with it. The calculator counts return shipping and damaged stock but does not also remove the profit on each refunded sale, so read these figures as best cases.

For Meesho Ads, work out break-even ROAS first (how to run ads on Meesho). Why sales grow but profit falls shows how discounts and ads can hide a loss.

How much stock should you keep for a Meesho sale?

Enough that your fastest sizes do not run out before a reorder arrives. As read on 14 October 2026 from saved copies of Meesho's lessons, Inventory groups catalogs as Active (All stock, Out of Stock, Low Stock), Activation Pending, Blocked and Paused.

  • Check Blocked and Activation Pending. In Meesho's lesson, Blocked catalogs come with a reason and Activation Pending ones are not live yet. Fix QC errors with the Meesho QC error guide and upload new festive catalogs early, because each must pass Meesho's quality check before it goes live.
  • Adding many similar catalogs? The Meesho autofill extension fills the single-catalog form from a template you record once. You still add the photos, check every field and press Publish yourself.
  • Read Meesho's own estimates. Its Learning Hub describes Inventory Smart suggestions: estimated orders for each catalog and the date your current stock should last. A video of 23 August 2025 names Growth Numbers, in the Promotions tab, for inventory planning.

Then count days of cover: pieces in hand divided by orders per day, size by size. We found no Meesho figure for how far a sale lifts a seller's orders. According to Business Today (12 October 2026), Meesho's day-one orders in the Mega Blockbuster Sale grew 75% year on year, but that is company-wide, not a forecast for your catalog, so test a few order paces of your own.

Order paceOrders per dayDays the 120 pieces last
Today's pace1012
2 times today206
3 times today304
4 times today403

Compare days of cover with how long a reorder takes. If the reorder is slower, order now or stop discounting that product. Meesho's pages disagree on payout timing, so read Next payment in Payments before a big reorder. Choose what to restock by margin: best products to sell on Meesho.

How to handle orders in a Meesho sale

Make label download a daily routine, not a pile. Meesho's video of 8 October 2026 asks sellers to download labels daily, on time, for fast dispatch in the Mega Blockbuster Sale (as read on 15 October 2026). The steps follow Meesho's Learning Hub order lessons (saved copies).

  1. Open Notices for any change to the sale.
  2. In Orders, open Pending, accept new orders and use the Breaching Soon filter to see which need dispatching first.
  3. Pack, then download the label and manifest from Ready to ship and hand the parcels to Meesho's logistics partner.
  4. Open Inventory and set sizes that sold out to zero, so nobody can order what you cannot ship. When many catalogs changed, Bulk Stock Update works from a downloaded inventory sheet.
  5. Check Cancelled and Return/RTO for new entries and note why.

Late dispatch raises the risk of cancellation, and Meesho's pages disagree on penalties: its marketing says '0 penalty', while its Learning Hub lesson lists some, including automatic cancellation of an order not dispatched in time (as read on 14 October 2026). Meesho penalty charges for sellers sets out the conflict, so trust the Expected Dispatch Date and your panel's rule. If a pickup fails, do not ship the order to the customer yourself (the lesson lists direct shipping as penalised); raise a Support ticket.

Next Day Dispatch is a promise: Meesho's lesson says every enrolled order must ship in under a day (saved copy). In a sale, enrol only catalogs you can pack the day the order arrives. How to increase sales on Meesho covers how enrolment works.

How to prepare for returns after the sale

Some sale orders come back after delivery. Meesho's Google Play listing says shoppers get a 7-day free return and refund policy (as read on 15 October 2026), so returns start arriving soon after the first sale orders are delivered.

  • Read the reasons first. The Quality Dashboard shows customer feedback and return reasons. Fix the top cause for your three busiest products now; how to reduce returns and RTO on Meesho gives a five-step method.
  • Pack for the journey. Meesho's channel has packing videos of 13 January 2026 for apparel, electronics, jewellery and breakable items. Meesho's pages differ on branded packaging, so follow your panel.
  • Be ready to prove it. Film every returned parcel as you open it. Meesho return claim for sellers walks through Meesho's returns SOP (effective 15 March 2023, read 15 October 2026), its video rules and the proof it asks for. Read today's steps and time limit in Support, under Returns/RTO & Exchange. What a return costs is in our fees guide.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

01

How do I participate in a Meesho sale?

Open Notices and the Promotions tab in your Supplier Panel. Meesho's March 2025 video says to manage Mega Blockbuster Sale participation in the Promotions tab, and its Review Page lets you check, edit or opt out of discounts before a sale. We could not open the live 2026 screens, so follow your panel.

02

What are Flexi Growth Offers on Meesho?

Flexi Growth Offers are seller-set discounts in the Promotions tab. Meesho's 2025 videos say you choose the product, a discount from 1 to 99% and the duration, and that an offer can go live as early as the next day. A discount is a price cut, so check your break-even price first.

03

How should I set prices in a Meesho sale?

Start from your break-even price in the Meesho profit calculator and discount only as far as you still earn. In our illustrative example, each ₹1 cut costs about 95 paise of profit. Use Check Discounts to see Meesho's final payout, and opt out of any discount that pays less than one unit costs you.

04

How much stock do I need for a Meesho sale?

We found no Meesho figure for a sale buffer. Count real stock per size, then work out days of cover: pieces in hand divided by orders per day. In our made-up example, 120 pieces last 12 days at 10 orders a day but only 4 days at 30. Compare that with your reorder time.

05

Meesho par Diwali sale ki taiyari kaise karen?

Pehle apna break-even price nikaalein. Phir Notices aur Promotions me Review Page aur Flexi Growth Offers dekhein, Inventory me stock ginein, roz labels download karein, aur sale ke baad Quality Dashboard me return reasons padhein. Sale ki dates apne panel me dekhein.
